Privacy-preserving defaults
Sessions begin anonymously. Whazzup receives only the current page metadata needed by the configured experience.
Consent
The loader also collects referrer, campaign parameters, device, time zone and recent pages to give agents context. Set consent: false in window.whazzupSettings to switch that off, or load the script only after consent is granted and call shutdown when consent is withdrawn.
Data guidance
- Send only attributes and events your support team needs.
- Never send passwords, access tokens, payment details, health data or full session objects.
- Document your use of Whazzup in your privacy notice.
